On April 15, 2022, the State Administration for Market Regulation and the National Standardization Administration issued Announcement No. 6 of 2022, "Announcement on Approving the Release of 245 Recommended National Standards and 2 National Standard Amendments such as "Sand for Construction" . The announcement list includes "Safety Requirements for Small Power Motors" (standard number: GB/T 12350-2022), which marks the official approval and release of the national standard and will be officially implemented on November 1, 2022.

According to the national standard revision plan issued by the National Standardization Administration, the national standard "Safety Requirements for Small Power Electric Motors" is reported by TC26 (National Technical Committee for Standardization of Rotating Electric Machines), and TC26SC1 (National Technical Committee for Standardization of Rotating Electric Machines) is implemented. The competent authority is China Electrical Equipment Industry Association.
